Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great holiday weekend and hope you all did as well! We went up to my Cabin up at bear lake for memorial weekend it was so fun!! We headed up on friday after Daniels soccer game which they lost big time but they certainly tried hard. Dan really likes all the guys he plays with they are all good friends but he says the problem is they all just started playing soccer for the first time a few years ago so none of them really know how to pass very well. They have a hard time working as team. But he has fun doing it and thats all that matters. On our way up to the cabin we stopped in Logan to get a bite to eat we got some tasty A&W. We just went to the drive through and ate as we drove and can i tell you that was a scary experience. Daniel trying to eat with one hand and drive through DARK Logan canyon in the other. But we made it safely we arrived at the cabin at about 11:00 PM we were so exhausted we just went straight to bed. Saturday morning we got up and it was very cold outside so we decided to play some SEGA Genesis and then we watched "Braveheart" Neither of us had seen it before it is a very good show we bothed loved it. Its sad but its a true story which AMAZES me. After that Daniel went outside to help my dad work in the yard poor some cement and stuff, so i just continued to read the twilight series. After the boys got finished we decided we wanted to go to the hot tub so Daniel, my little brother Ethan and I went to the hot tub. When we were getting ready to leave we saw a lizard in the drive way it was cool. Of course Daniel couldn't resist so he caught it so we could see it more close up. He let it go before we got in the car to leave to the pool though. My mom came so she could buy a new pass for the pools and stuff for this next year; but she just sat on the side of the pool and read she is not big into swimming. We were so amazed that the pool was open we thought only the hot tub would be open. Both the pool and the hot tub were way packed there were so many people. We just hot tubbed and got in the pool for a little while it was chilly after being in the hot tub but actually quite warm we were surprised. After a while we decided to go back up to the cabin. On our way home there was this gorgeous bird in the middle of the road. The second i saw it and saw it wasn't going to move i covered my mouth. We couldn't see it behind us on the road but we didn't see any feathers or anything come up like we had hit it. When we got up to the cabin we found the poor bird dead and stuck in the grill of my car. Me and Daniel have bad luck with animals and my car. It was sad we burried it in the yard. Mom cooked dinner while we all took showers. She made cheesy lasagne for dinner so good!! After dinner we decided to play some blockus. Its a really fun board game with tetrus pieces, it makes you think but its so fun we love it. My little brother headed home after playing games cause he was leaving on his senior trip on sunday so he had to go home and get stuff ready to go. We watched "The Family Man while we waited for my older brother chuck to arrive. Chuck drove up Saturday night after work he arrived at about ten. I was so tired so I went to bed and Chuck and Dan stayed up and played nintendo and, played around on there laptops and watched a movie. Dan said he came to bed at about midnightish so they did stay up too late! Sunday morning was a lazy morning we tried to sleep in I didn't sleep to good the night before. My husband is a furniss and always makes me so hot while we sleep and I must have slept on my arm funny or something cause my sholder hurt so bad in the middle of the night i had to get up and take some drugs. Dad made us hot sunday breakfast he made Omlets, hashbrowns, and some bacon. We just hung out doing a whole lot of nothing till about 10:30 then we decided we should get ready for church. We went to the 12:30 session of church it was packed but not as bad as last year. Last year it was so busy we had to sit in the primary room and just listen to sacrement this year we got there early enough that we got seats in the overflow. It was so warm in there cause there were so many bodies and the rows were really close together so no feet room but it was a good sacrement meeting. We had lunch/Dinner when we got home from church we had chicken on the grill, corn on the cob and rolls. Daniel cooked the chicken cause my dad wasnt' feeling to well but it all turned out very good. We played some more blockus after dinner then Chuck, Daniel and I decided to go ride the 4 wheelers cause the sun was actually out and the dirt roads were dry. It was so fun I love riding the 4 wheelers there were tons of gorgeous wild flowers. We also saw lots of wild life but we weren't quick enough to get any pictures. We rode around for a couple of hours. When we got back to the cabin my mom was watching space camp, a Feature Films For Families. We have them all cause my moms a teacher :-) we keep them all at the cabin for some quality entertainment. We watched the rest of that with her then we watched the wedding singer. Since I hadn't slept well the night before i went to bed after the movie was over. We slept with the window open so i wouldn't get so hot. It was so nice it poured rain all of monday morning so it was so nice just to sleep in and listen to the rain. We didn't get up till like 10:30. We were bummed that the weather was so bad because we couldn't do anything. Daniel and my brother Chuck helped my dad shovel some rocks in the pouring rain. We just kind of hung out and relaxed. We headed home at about 3:00 we didn't want to get home to late to start the work week. It was a nice and relaxing weekend we had so much fun and it was so nice to get away for a minute. We hope that everything we missed out on back here at home went well and we are sorry we missed out!!
