Camp Out

Yeah for Fridays!! We invited Daniels Nieces and Nephews over for a sleepover. We thought it would be fun to sleep in the tent but since the weather is so unpredictable and we don't know all our neighbors so we thought it would be safer to set the tent up in the living room of course. We went and bought treats and made them each a paper sack with there name on it full of snacks to eat in the tent and while we watched movies. We picked up the girls at 5:30 Chase had basketball practice so he came over later that evening. Daniel had a soccer game at 6:30 so we stopped at Wendy's and got the girls kids meals to eat at the game so they weren't completely bored. We went to the game the boys did good they won the game by one point 6-5. I tried to take pictures of the game to show everyone but they all turned out dark and i couldn't figure out how to fix it so no soccer pics sorry. After the game we stopped at Blockbuster and rented a couple movies the girls picked "Surf's Up" and "Golden Compass" but they really wanted to watch 27 dresses which i already had at home. After we got home Daniel took a shower. The girls wanted to go and roll down the hill in the back yard and have some races so I went and watched them in the back after that they wanted me to do there hair curly like mine was that night. I curled Alyssa's first and Maizey went and drew on the white board then i did Maizey's hair they looked SOOO cute but they always do :-).Daniel was all clean and out of the shower by the time we finished doing hair so we decieded to make some Jiffy Pop while we waited for Chase. We had to do jiffy pop since we were "camping out". The girls had never done Jiffy Pop but they loved every minute of it. We let them help rotate the pan on the burner while it was popping. They were going crazy laughing and screaming they thought it was so cool.


Chase finally arrived so we decided to watch a movie we watched "Surf's Up" Its a cartoon kids show about surfing and penguins they loved it.

After that movie was over Maizey was sound asleep but Alyssa was still wide awake and she was BEGGING to watch 27 dresses so we put that movie in, but before we knew it she was sound asleep. Chase didn't want to stay up and watch that movie it didn't intrest him at all. We shut off the movie and all went to sleep I slept next to Alyssa who kicks very hard and is a wild sleeper. Maizey woke up in the middle of the night and yelled out am I the only one awake. Well after that comment obviously she wasn't the only one awake she woke everyone up but we all fell back to sleep. Maizey and I got up at about 8 and decided we would make breakfast so she helped mix the waffles she is a very good at stirring. :-) Daniel decided to wake up to and came and helped us we made waffles, bacon, hashbrowns, and eggs with cheese in them. Maizey wasn't feeling to well so she went and laid down while we were finishing up breakfast. I went to get her from the tent and told her breakfast was ready but she said she wasn't feeling good Daniel stayed and talked to her and asked if she needed to go to the restroom or anything she said no. Then all of the sudden she decided she needed to go to the bathroom but didn't make it too far and threw up in the tent. Daniel was quick on his toes and caught most of it on a blanket. Alyssa was in the back of the tent plugging her nose and saying she couldn't breath cause of the smell, being so sweet to her sister (ha ha) Maizey headed to the bathroom to get cleaned up Daniel lifted Alyssa over the mess so she wouldn't get it on her. I went to take care of Maizey while Chase and Alyssa ate some breakfast. I gave her a clean T-shirt to borrow and we rinsed out her hair and brushed her teeth. Then Maizey decided she was all better and wanted to eat some breakfast. Daring girl that is not a move i would have made after tossing my cookies. But she ate 1 1/2 waffles and some hashbrowns with no problems. We took the kids home after we got everything cleaned up. It was a very fun and eventful slumber party!!
